Barb Hahn
President
Barb started knitting in 2006 when she was looking for a hobby to keep her out of the refrigerator. After exploring many fiber art areas like cross stiching and sewing, she abandoned her projects when she picked up knitting needles. It was love at first sight. She purchased a DVD to teach her how after fumbling around websites and is, at this level, a intermediate beginner. When she met a couple of knitters in the Weight Watchers meeting room, they told her about the CNKG. She says, "What started out as a hobby has become a passion. I have also made some wonderful friendships in this Guild that I cherish." This is Barb's first year as President after spending 2 years as Vice President. Barb has also served as the Secretary, and sat on various committees.

Dawn Goetz
Vice President of Programs
Dawn was looking for a knitting group on-line and found the CNKG website. A friend in college taught her how to knit about 20 years ago (yikes - time flies!), but she didn't knit consistently until about 2 1/2 years ago when she taught a friend how to knit. She has since rediscovered her passion for the craft, and has been a strong asset to the guild. This is Dawn's first year as VP after serving as the Guild Secretary.

Harriet Lawrence
Secretary
Harriet loves to knit. She belonged to a knitting club in the Boston area until she moved to Arizona in October of 2009.
"I love trying new knitting techniques -- felting, lace, anything that might be a challenge. I especially enjoy learning from other knitters." When asked where Harriet learned to knit she casually replies, with a chuckle, "I don't remember.
I think I taught myself." Quiet a feat! We welcome her in her first year as Secretary.

Lisa Spaich
Treasurer
Lisa is a "rookie" and learned to knit only recently. She crocheted (bad word around CNKG) and loved the clean look of knitting. Her neighbor, Josie, had been knitting for a lifetime and taught her the basics. She has knitted scarves, blankets and mittens now. She is just feeling comfortable with patterns so to join the Guild was a way to get better, learn from the best and start contributing to the Altruistic donations the Guild is so good at! If you ever wanted to be part of group that is stable, FUN and very educated in the art of knitting, this is it! To volunteer on the board was a way for Lisa to get involved and feel like she is contributing! These women and Larry :) give SO much, it is inspiring! This is Lisa's second year as Treasurer.
